When I started working on the second track for Binary Birth last week, I had a hard time putting into music what I heard in my head. I wanted a piece of music where I could visualize a sort of assembly process taking place. After listening to what I did last Thursday, I realized that I missed the mark. Well, I think I finally got myself on the right track. So, here’s another teaser to show you what direction I’m going in.
Here’s the teaser for the next track of Binary Birth. It doesn’t exactly have a title yet. So, you’ll have to wait till the track is released to know what it’ll be.
A good bit of the sounds I used were from a new set of Fairlight samples that I purchased yesterday. The Fairlight CMI was one of the first sampling synthesizers that ever came out. While many of you might know of the Fairlight, I guarantee that you’ve heard many of the sounds all over hundreds of hit songs from the 80s. There’s no escaping it.
The lead line that comes towards the end of the teaser is just a place holder right now. I’m not entirely happy yet with the transition part that comes before it. So, that will most likely be different once the song is finished. I feel pretty comfortable with what I’ve done with the intro, though. I guess we’ll just have to see where the music takes me.
I’m proud to say that I have released the first song for Binary Birth! Let’s Begin The Build serves as an introduction to the album but it paves the way for what’s to come. This track will be free until 02/08/11. So, make sure you grab it now! Check out the Binary Birth page for more information.
