Admittedly, I had a little help from a midi file for this one. It would have taken me quite a while to transcribe the song without it. As much as I would have liked to ‘rap’ over it, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I think I’m just a bit too white and nerdy. You’ll just have to do with what I got done.

This particular piece was somewhat inspired by the new Tron movie. I’ve been a huge fan of the original Tron flick since I was a kid and I’m totally excited about seeing Tron: Legacy this Saturday. Yes, I know it hasn’t gotten the greatest reviews but the original didn’t do so well either. I’ve been listening to the sound track for the past couple weeks, though, and it’s awesome.
The image to the left was rendered in Carrara using the Natu model. Unlike a lot of the 3D anime models that are available commercially, Natu is very much on the curvy side. There’s definitely some junk in her trunk and I’m down with that. I did a little post work in Photoshop Elements and that’s about it.
With the eminent eclipse last night, I went out around 9 PM to see what the full moon and it was really bright. So, I whipped out my camera (Canon SX10IS) and my tripod to see what I could capture. I’ve attempted to take pictures of the moon before but this one turned out quite exceptional compared to my previous attempts.
There was only some very light work done in post to bring out some of the details. I think I just adjusted the contrast and sharpness a little bit. While I still plan to work on some 3D stuff today, I thought I’d share this particular picture. Enjoy!
