Demon Child

In an effort to try something different, I decided to do a sort of creature type character in this piece.  I think he looks perfectly evil, don’t you? This is probably what my child would look like if I ever had any.  Oh, I’m sure it would get all of it’s looks from me.

As usual, this piece was rendered in Carrara with post work done in Photoshop Elements and Postworkshop.  I think I’m starting to get a bit of a better understanding of how to do more dramatic lighting.  I’m still learning, though.  Every day I seem to figure out something new.

The Force of Star Wars

Every now and then, Kate takes a trip up to Baltimore and visits a place called The Book Thing. Sometimes she comes home with something really awesome and sometimes she brings back a book that’s really strange.  Today she showed me The Force of Star Wars and it’s contents were not what I was expecting. So, I thought I’d share some of the books contents.

When you look at the cover, you probably thing that it’s some sort of novel and you’d be very wrong.  The two-hundred or so pages in this book go on to compare Star Wars to the Bible.  While I’m not here to argue that aspect, I do have to share with you a page that’s in the very back of the book.  After reading it, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Laundry Day

by shaggy on January 8, 2011 at 8:16 pm

I’m a pretty big Star Wars fan.  I grew up with Episode 4-6 and still consider them in my top list of favorite films.  Episode 1-3 does not exist.  So, I won’t speak of them.

Here we have Boba Fett on his laundry day.  Mandalorians have to do their laundry too, you know.  At least they have an astro mech to give them a hand.  Even though washing ones clothes is a tough job, he doesn’t believe in taking his helmet off.  Do you hear that, George? The helmet stays on!
