What are commissions? Basically, it means that you can ask me to create piece of 3D artwork or a short song just for you! Since I’m looking to start attending more conventions, I really need to start gathering funds so that I can pay for artist alley tables and hotel rooms. I really hate begging for money which is the reason why I don’t like putting up a tip jar on my website. Here’s what I’m offering:

1) 4″x6″ single character artwork – $10.00 ($15.00 if you prefer it to have a more 2D look).
2) 8.5″ x 11″ single character artwork – $20.00 ($30.00 if you prefer it to have a more 2D look).
3) A 1:30 song – $50.00 (That’s one minute and thirty seconds).

The first two are pretty self explanatory. These images will have a pretty simple background but we might be willing to work something out if you have a special request. The third one will be an original piece of music licensed under Creative Commons. Basically, you’ll have the right to do whatever you want with your song as long as you’re not using it for commercial purposes.

Requests for single character artwork can be of anything you want as long as it doesn’t go beyond PG 13. In other words, nothing too naughty. While I mostly do anime style characters, I can also do some more realistic ones as well. Since I have a deep love for robots and big space ships, I might be willing to work something out with you if you want something custom done. Modeling something from scratch can take quite a bit of time, ya know. Check the image below for an example on the difference between a 2D character and a 3D character.

A song request can be of any genre but it will be an instrumental. That’s not to say that I can’t do vocals but it does take a lot more work to add something like that to a piece of original music. I might work something out with you, though, if you have some lyrics already written. The same goes if you would like a song longer than one minute and thirty seconds. The price of the song would just have to be adjusted to account for how long it will take me to get things completed.

So, if you are interested in any of the above, please send me an e-mail at shaggy@zoiks.org or use the contact link in the menu bar. Once we work out the specifics, I’ll send you an invoice via PayPal as well as give you an estimate on when you can expect your purchase. Since I’m a one man show, I’ll need to schedule commissions out so that I can get other things done like my comic.
