Despite getting a fairly decent sleep last night, my brain really hasn’t been in the game today.  I have to admit, starting a new scene on a Monday that’s after a convention probably wasn’t a good idea.  The problem is…I never plan these things ahead of time and it bit me in the arse.

Besides my brain not doing it’s job, I’ve had some technical difficulties that made things go even slow.  One of my render nodes crashed in the middle of doing something and that just leaves the main computer doing it’s best to finish the image.  Right now it’s at 75% and I started it at around 5p.m. So, it doesn’t look like I’ll finish the comic today.  I’ve just totally run out of steam.

Despite not getting my regular comic up, I did do something creative during the fifteen minutes before writing this post.  I sat down and played with some of the new live sampling abilities in Reason/Record.  Everything in this little song was sampled from my voice except the synth violin like chords.  The drums are me and the lead is my voice as well.  These are the things that happen when your brain is low on juice.  I’ll finish the comic tomorrow. I promise.
