A couple weeks ago I was chatting with someone when this book was mentioned. I often am very reluctant to read ‘How To’ books since they are often overly opinionated and full of biased information. Since more than one person did recommend this to me, I decided to check it out and I’m glad I did.
While I have been working on BS/OD for nearly 2 years now, I wouldn’t consider myself an expert on the matter. As a webcomic creator, I consider it part of my job to expand my knowledge of what works and what doesn’t. This is an on going process and I feel that ‘How To Make Webcomics’ fit in quite nicely.
Since it was penned by four pros of the industry, there are some varying opinions in the book. This gives you multiple perspectives on what has worked for them in each of their unique situations. I consider this to be one of the best aspects of the book. While there aren’t any startling revelations within it’s pages, there is tons of bight sized pieces of information that make a lot of sense. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to show more professionalism in their own comic. Go check it out!
