I ended up fixing it pretty quickly. I didn't realize that there was more to do than just update the CP manager plugin. If you scroll through the archives you get blog posts mixed in. This is probably to do with upgrading wordpress. I *think* you hve to enable storylines to fix it, but I know you can find details of this problem, and the fix, over at the comicpress website.
